Research

My research interests span from processes in physical oceanography to design of future energy systems.

Outreach

I often take part in seminars and events ranging from small clubs to governmental conferences.

Teaching

I supervise master and PhD students in oceanography and energy.

Recently I have contributed lectures in the courses:

  • GEOF232 Practical Oceanography and Meteorology
  • ENERGI200 Energy Resources and Use
  • ENERGI210 Energy Physics and Technology
  • VIT212 Climate - What do we know? What should we do? (In Norwegian)
  • GEOF 339 Advanced Ocean Dynamics

I also have taught GEOF 231 Operational Oceanography (no longer offered; followed by new course GEOF232), GEOF 338 Polar Oceanography, GEOF 213 Dynamics of the Atmosphere and Ocean and related earlier courses.
