Objectives and Content

Learning Outcomes

The course focuses on certain linguistic topics of modern Icelandic. The aim of the course is to give students a good knowledge of some linguistic topics of modern Icelandic. Those topics are historical development of the Icelandic language, word-formation and productivity, dialects, language policy (purism, neologism) and the relation between language and society.
